We have been favoured by the Surgeon-General with a perusal of the Report of this important institution for the year 1878. It is drawn up by SurgeonMajor T. E. Burton Brown, M. D., and presents several items of interesting information which we sliall briefly indicate. The Hospital continues to do excellent work,?31,671 patients were treated during the year against 28,534 in 1877. Of these, 29,650 were out-door patients and 2,021 indoor. Of the total number 833 were Europeans and Eurasians, 16,129 Mahomedans, 14,300 Hindus, and 409 of other classes.
